I found Mr Chou listened carefully to my questions and concerns about how I was feeling following surgery and the impact of my accident/surgery on what I like to do, both in the short and longer term. His responses and manner were reassuring and provided me with the factual medical information that I like to have, in order that I could better understand what I could/couldn't do and why and how this would improve over time. 6 months after surgery I developed what felt like clicking in my hip and was seen by Mr Chou very quickly and x-rayed. He was satisfied that all was well but at no time was I made to feel that I had wasted anybody's time- he took time to explain to me what he thought was causing the sensation I was feeling. He has also been supportive of my wish to return to horse riding and has explained what precautions I need to take. I am appreciative of his care and would like to express my thanks.

Before my operation Mr Daud Chou and team briefed me on the risks and expectations of the results and the implications if I did not want to go ahead with it. He came across as very approachable and willing to answer any questions I had and was happy for me to conference my wife in to discussions by phone. I was kept informed of what was happening when I was taken for the operation. The success of the operation on my fractured pelvis exceeded my expectations as a 70 year old. Six months downstream I am again able to walk normally, cycle with my club, do gardening and DIY as before. He has followed up with reviews that have helped inform me on what I could do as I recovered. Organisation of the reviews was good.

From my first meeting with Mr Chou I felt very comfortable in his presence. The discussions were informative, thorough and reassuring and removed many concerns I had regarding the operation and my expectations for recovery. The surgery has given me back all the things that make life a joy and I will certainly seek his help again in the future as required. Thank you Mr Chou
